EZTip No. 6 - Using the EZ7-Day forecast in EZWxBrief
In addition to the EZForecast available at various stations on the EZMap, you can also view a 7-day forecast for most towns or airports in the conterminous U.S. This is simply a textual forecast for the town or airport of interest. The source of this guidance is the NWS official forecast. Please note that this is limited to towns or airports in the U.S. and will not provide a forecast in Canada, Mexico or Caribbean.
Find the EZ7-day forecast panel in the upper right. Some users confuse this with the route editor. You cannot enter a route in this field, just the names of a town, city or airport identifier. Simply type the name of the town or enter the airport identifier and EZWxBrief will search the database and provide a list of possible matches. For example, the town of Linthicum was entered below. If there were multiple matches, all would be listed. In this case there is only one match.

Click or tap on the desired town or airport from the list and it will show you a brief forecast summary for today as well the two following days like you see below. The top line is the current conditions from the nearest reporting station, ordinarily the nearest airport. The following lines are the forecast that includes a summary followed by the maximum temperature, minimum temperature, graphical wind direction and wind speed. Temperature and wind speed are shown using the units you've chosen in your EZSettings.
You can also click on the Home button to show the latest observation and forecast for your home airport. If you are interested in the weather observation and forecast closest to your current location you can click or tap on the geolocation button (this may require that you approve the browser to determine your location).

Click or tap on the particular day you are interested in and that day will expand to see full textual forecast as well as the sunrise and sunset as shown below for Tuesday. Click or tap on This Weeks Forecast to see the extended range forecast out to seven days.

When using a handheld device, you will need to tap on the 7-day forecast icon as shown below.

This will allow you to enter the town or airport similar to what is mentioned above.
