Below are the release notes for EZWxBriefâ„¢ version 2.10.0
5-minute METARs have been added as a switch on the Airport Wx METARs page. With the switch turned on, surface observations for some airports will be shown at five minute intervals over the previous 12 hours.
Digital ATIS (D-ATIS) for specific high-impact airports has been added to Airport Wx view.
Route editor now includes a single stopover airport and a maximum ground time of three hours for flights that require two legs such as planning for a fuel stop.
Added a GOES-East/GOES-West GeoColor and Infrared satellite images as a layer to the Map for six hours prior to the current time. Latency is approximately 30-40 minutes from the current time.
Added a Very Low IFR flight category color to represent ceilings < 200 feet and/or visibility < 1/2 statute mile.
Fixed an issue with the FAQ page where the text for links to answers were not showing up in the search results.
Removed a false checkerboard pattern above FL450 on the Turbulence Route Profile view when only the CAT/CIT or MWT options were selected.
Increased the horizontal resolution of the CLDS (clouds) Route Profile view to match the resolution of the Flight Category bar.
Fixed an issue that was causing the landing page to spontaneously refresh a second time after signing in.
Fixed a snap-back issue with the time scrubber below the Skew-T log (p) diagram that was occurring on some touch screen devices.
Selecting the geolocation button on the 7-Day Forecast opens up the correct forecast once approved by the user.
Squashed a number of smaller bugs and made other under-the-hood enhancements to make the platform more stable and responsive.
Given that EZWxBrief is designed to run as a progressive web app, there's nothing you need to do. If open, just close the app and new releases are seamless and become available the next time you restart the app.
