Below are the release notes for EZWxBriefâ„¢ version 2.7.0
Added a TAF station marker layer to the Map.
Added a Frontal Analysis layer to the Map that includes surface frontal systems, surface troughs, drylines and centers of high and low pressure.
Implemented a rubber banding feature to change the active route directly on the Map.
Fixed a bug that was causing the temperature shown on the Meteogram and Route Profile wind markers to not be aligned with the isotherms.
Fixed a bug that was erroneously extending the icing and turbulence forecasts on the Meteogram views by one hour.
Changed the way the Airports button in the Dashboard functions to now open up the Airport Selector instead of opening up the Airport Wx page using the most recent airport.
Changed the way the refresh button works on the Map to only allow a single refresh every 30 seconds to avoid having multiple refreshes overload the server and potentially cause the app to crash.
Developed an anti-collision feature that prevents waypoints markers that are close in proximity to overlap on the Map.
Replaced the 0.5° base reflectivity radar with the MRMS Composite Radar. This new radar layer now extends back six hours.
Fixed two issues with routes not being added to the Recent Route list in the Dashboard.
Squashed a number of smaller bugs and made other under-the-hood enhancements to make the platform more stable and responsive.
Given that EZWxBrief is designed to run as a progressive web app, there's nothing you need to do. If open, just close the app and new releases are seamless and become available the next time you restart the app.
