Q.  What does AvWxTraining stand for?

A.  AvWxTraining stands for "Aviation Weather Training." It's the training website for EZWxBrief, your best online source for aviation weather & education!

Q.  Why join AvWx Training?

A.  AvWxTraining does not require a subscription or membership although you can join our community. You do NOT need to join, but by joining this community you will be sent notifications of new blog posts, you will be allowed to comment on blog posts as well as mange your 1-on-1 training sessions that you have purchased. 

 

Q.  How is it different from EZWxBrief?

Unlike EZWxBrief, which is an affordable progressive web application elegantly designed to blend supplemental weather guidance with the pilot’s personal weather minimums, AvWxTraining was created to provide a live training component to include 1-on-1 online training and live webinars.  AvWxTraining also hosts a blog to provide some additional (useful) content and to announce live webinars and other important information including EZWxBrief release notes, EZTips and monthly EZNewsletters. 

Q.  Do I have to become a member of EZWxBrief to schedule online training?

A.  No. AvWxTraining does not require a membership to EZWxBrief.com.  If you are interested in attending a live webinar, purchasing a recorded webinar or booking a 1-on-1 online training session with Dr. Scott Dennstaedt, simply visit those sections and purchase.  

Q.  I purchased one hour of online training.  How do I know if my day and time is confirmed? 

A.  You will receive an email confirmation with the date and time of your session; if you create an account on the AvWx Training website you can see all of your bookings. Once logged in click on the blue profile icon in the upper-right corner of the site to show a drop down list.  Choose My Bookings to see all of your online training sessions.

Q.  How do the one-on-one online training session work?  How do I get the online details for my session?

A.  AvWx Training uses Google Meet™ for all online training sessions and live webinars.  Google Meet™ is an online meeting, desktop sharing, and video conferencing software package that enables the user to meet with other computer users, customers, clients or colleagues via the Internet in real time.  Your online session confirmation will be sent in a separate email (normally within one hour) and will have instructions on how to join the session.  A few minutes prior to the session start time, please click on the link in this email and it will connect you to the online session.  

Q.  What kind of computer do I need to participate in an online session?

A.  For the best experience, please use a desktop or laptop computer (Windows or Mac). We use Google Meet™ for all 1-on-1 online sessions and live webinars which runs within any Internet web browser. You can use your computer or phone's built-in microphone and speakers, for the best experience and to cut down on echoes we recommend that you use a headset.

Q.  ​Can training be conducted in sessions less than 30 minutes?  

A.  At this time online sessions are only offered in 30 and 60 minute increments. You can purchase a 10 session subscription plan at 60 or 30 minute increments if you'd like to do a deeper dive with Dr. Scott Dennstaedt.

Q.  What do I do if I need to cancel my session?

A.  We do not offer refunds for online training, but we will be happy to assist you with re-scheduling your training session.  If you create an account on the AvWxTraining website, you do have the ability to change the time of your session. 

Q.  Are evening or weekend training sessions available?

A.  1-on-1 online training sessions should be scheduled during our normal business hours of 9am to 5pm eastern time Monday through Friday.  We can however, by special request, accommodate sessions in the evening and on weekends in some instances.  If you need to schedule a session outside of our normal business hours, please contact us with the date and time you would like to schedule and what your training goals are. In most cases, we will do our best to schedule a session that will work for you, but understand that we do not have the capability to support last minute training requests.

 

Q.  Can I use previously purchased online training hours to purchase other products or services? 

A.  No.  Any online training hours must be used for that purpose only and cannot be used to pay for other products or services.  Online training hours cannot be sold or transferred to another person or organization.  

 

Q.  Do online training hours expire? 

A.  Yes.  Any online training hours purchased expire one (1) year from the time of purchase.  Unused online training hours cannot be carried over and will be forfeited.

 

Q. Can I transfer, sell or give online training hours to another person? 

A.  No.  Any online training hours you may have on your account with AvWxTraining can never be transferred, sold or assigned to anyone else.  We are sorry, but at this time we cannot offer refunds of online training hours purchased. 

Q.  If I'm a member of EZWxBrief.com, is there a discount?  

A.  No, at this time there isn't a discount for 1-on-1 online training or live/recorded webinars.  AvWxTraining operates independently of EZWxBrief.com.  

Q.  How do I pay for my 1-on-1 online training session or webinar?  

A.  You can conveniently pay using your own PayPal account or by major credit card.

Q.  Can I purchase more than one hour of 1-on-1 training at a time?  

A.  Yes and no. At this time you can only purchase a single session (30 or 60 minute) with each transaction. This is done so you can book your preferred day and time with each hour purchased.  Additional hours purchased require a separate payment transaction. However, we do offer a 10 session subscription plan that allows you to purchase ten 60 minute or 30 minute sessions that must be used within the next 365 days. 

Q.  Do I need a PayPal account to pay for my 1-on-1 training or live webinar?

A.  No, you can also pay by credit card. 

Q.  Can I get a refund for any products or services including memberships?

A.  No.  All sales are final.  We would like to hear from you, however.  Send us an email explaining any issues or concerns you have and we will do what we can to make you a satisfied customer.
