Service Description
This eight-week class will be held on Monday nights at 8 pm eastern time beginning September 15, 2025 with the last class on Monday, November 3, 2025. Plan for each class period to provide expert instruction for 45 to 60 minutes. There will be time reserved at the end for questions and spillover. Class overview - There's no doubt that fair weather environments and severe clear conditions provide the best flying experience. However, pilots that use their aircraft to travel longer distances and those that fly more frequently will inevitably increase their exposure to some adverse weather. This class will enable you to recognize serious adverse weather environments both in how to avoid them and provide guidance on how to negotiate the best path out of them or around them. If you cannot attend live, each class will be recorded and be made available within 36 hours. Syllabus includes - - Class 1 - Overview and protecting the margins - Class 2 - Convection (Part 1) - Class 3 - Convection (Part 2) - Class 4 - Datalink weather - Class 5 - ATC and weather - Class 6 - Icing (Part 1) - Class 7 - Icing (Part 2) - Class 8 - Conclusion and miscellaneous topics Note that this syllabus is preliminary and is subject to change.
