Release notes for EZWxBrief v2.5.0

Below are the release notes for EZWxBrief™ version 2.5.0

• Added an "Aviation only" switch for the Area Forecast Discussion (AFD) in the Airport Wx view. Setting this to On will filter out the discussion text except for the .AVIATION section.

• Added a switch to translate or decode the terminal aerodrome forecasts (TAFs) found in the Airport Wx view.

• Added a Visit Airport link in the EZForecast popup tabular display for the Map Station Markers that opens up the Airport Wx view for the airport selected.

• Added a new Map layer that renders the Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 Storm Prediction Center (SPC) convective outlooks. This includes a Discussion button on the SPC Outlooks tabular display pop up to read the forecast discussions.

• Added a new Map layer that includes the SPC severe thunderstorm and tornado watch boxes.

• Relocated the 1-Day/3-Day toggle button on the Meteogram from the bottom left to the immediate right of the WIND/CLDS/ICE/TURB buttons so that it stays visible and doesn't scroll on some handheld devices for the WIND and CLDS view.

• Updated the label of the 1-Day/3-Day toggle button on the Meteogram to "View 1-Day" or "View 3-Day" to clearly indicate the toggle action the button will perform when pressed.

• Included a cross track distance in the airport pop up tabular display for proximity airports in the Route Profile view. this describes the shortest distance from the airport to the great circle route.

• Fixed an issue that was causing the +1h button to become gray for any departure time in the future when no active route existed.

• Fixed an issue that was causing the EZDeparture Advisor™ not to be reevaluated/reset on the Map after the active route was deleted.

• Made minor corrections and updates to the Pilots Guide.

• Squashed a number of smaller bugs and made other under-the-hood enhancements to make the platform more stable and responsive.

Given that EZWxBrief is designed to run as a progressive web app, there's nothing you need to do. If open, just close the app and new releases are seamless and become available the next time you restart the app.
