Below are the release notes for EZWxBriefâ„¢ version 2.4.0
An icing severity forecast column was added to the left side of the Skew-T log (p) diagram. This includes negative icing as well as trace, light, moderate and heavy using conventions and colors similar to the icing forecast rendered on the Meteogram and Route Profile views.
A CAT/CIT turbulence intensity forecast column was added to the left side of the Skew-T log (p) diagram. This includes negative turbulence as well as light, moderate, severe and extreme using conventions and colors similar to the turbulence forecast rendered on the Meteogram and Route Profile views.
Set the first available Skew-T diagram to the top of the most recent hour to avoid showing any Skew-T log (p) diagrams valid in the past.
The most unstable CAPE (MUCAPE) in J/kg and lifted condensation level (LCL) in feet above mean sea level to the list of indices rendered on the diagram.
Added the most unstable parcel lapse rate whenever MUCAPE > SBCAPE.
Added the surface-based equilibrium level (EL) to the Skew-T log (p) indices.
Made minor formatting and aesthetic improvements to the Skew-T log (p) diagram.
Made minor corrections and updates to the Pilots Guide.
Squashed a number of smaller bugs and made other under-the-hood enhancements to make the platform more stable and responsive.
Given that EZWxBrief is designed to run as a progressive web app, there's nothing you need to do. If open, just close the app and new releases are seamless and become available the next time you restart the app.
